Description
Maine coons are known for their large square mug (or jaws). They are twice as large or more than a normal domestic cat. A male is approximately 20 to 30 pounds. The ears have tufts on them as do the paws between the toes. It has been said they have once crossed with a linx and that may be where the size and ear tuft come from. As large as they are they are called the gentle giants of the cat world, the meow is like a little bird trill sound. They follow you like a dog and always want to be near you or on top of what ever you are doing. They own you!
