This is a painting of a beautiful Adirondack Lake, NY State, that we discovered while hiking a trail. There is something about these small lakes that are so pristine and magical with no human inhabitants. We now look for the trail that leads to this lake each time we are in the area, just to take in it's serene beauty. Here my brush tried to capture the serenity of the misty sunset on a beautiful fall day. Can you hear the quietness?
About Judy Via-Wolff
I have a great love for nature and all God's creation. In any artworks or photos I create, I try to reflect a moment of fleeting beauty as all things are but for an instant. I love to paint and use pastels. I paint in oils, acylics, and water colors depending on the piece. I also pursue the medieval technique of egg tempera painting.I also have begun digital painting which I create from scratch with a stylus. Photography also provides an instant in time. Judy has a BFA and a Masters Degree From RIT"S School for American Craftsman and Fine art. She spent many years as a glass artist and was able to reflect the light and colors of God's creation through this medium. She won many awards over the years and enjoyed creating new works...
